ESET Security Review

ESET offers various plans for Windows, macOS, Android and Linux. There's a no-cost version that provides basic security. The higher priced plans include features like parental controls, password management, and data encryption. The most expensive package comes with gaming mode that prevents unauthorized access to the computer's hardware while you are playing.

The program isn't difficult to install and setup is easy. It doesn't overwhelm your system with bloatware either. There are a few additional settings but the majority of tools and features are available on the left sidebar.

A brand new feature dubbed Connected Home Monitor is an efficient visual representation of your network and all devices that are connected to it. You can use it to test your network for weaknesses such as open ports or weak passwords for routers.

A pop-up will appear each when you insert the USB device. You can scan the drive immediately, or set it to scan automatically. If you don't wish to scan the entire drive, you are able to perform an on-demand scan.

More advanced users will appreciate the option to control the type and amount of much the suite scans. You can specify the number of folders and files that the program should check and also specific items like boot sectors and networks. You can even specify the depth at which the program must scan archives, if you want to exclude certain types of files from the initial scan.
